The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is a development of the ATS-V, a sports sedan with excellent handling and performance but hampered by an unrefined engine and a child-size back seat. The new car has a similarly cramped rear seat, but a larger door opening allows adults to get in and out more easily.
Cadillac isn't overcharging its customers. A base CT4-V Blackwing starts at $59,990, which places it between smaller sports sedans like the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 and Audi RS3, and larger, more established models like the BMW M3 and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Even when fully loaded, the 4 outperforms the M3 and Giulia. We'd love to see an encore of this special car that offers a special experience, but we'd buy one now just in case.

The CT4-V's The interior of the Blackwing is more opulent than that of the regular CT4 lineup, with carbon-fiber trim, microsuede accents, and more supportive front seats. Otherwise, the design and layout are identical to those of its more subdued siblings. Cadillac hasn't exactly surpassed expectations with the cabin quality of the Blackwing, but there's no shortage of flashy features on the menu. The 'Wing includes a 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster as standard, as well as specially bolstered front seats with 18-way power adjustments and heated cushions.
These front thrones can be upgraded to a more upscale set with even more aggressive bolstering, ventilation, and lumbar massage. The Blackwing has the same interior layout and cargo space as the regular CT4, with useful cubby storage and a trunk that, in our testing, held five carry-on suitcases.
