However, several factors are preventing this vehicle from reaching its full potential. Acceleration is sluggish, and overall performance is disappointing. This Cadillac also lags behind rival luxury subcompact SUVs in terms of interior and ride quality.

Despite its fuel-saving cylinder deactivation, the XT4 earns entirely average EPA fuel-economy estimates, with front-wheel-drive variants reaching 30 mpg on the highway. Our all-wheel-drive test vehicle only managed 27 of the EPA-rated 29 mpg in our real-world highway fuel-economy test.
