Ford offers eight trim levels for the 2022 Ford Explorer: Base, XLT, ST-Line, Limited, Timberline, ST, King Ranch, and Platinum. The first five trims are powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, while the remaining trims are powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. The base trim is well-equipped, and the engine is powerful enough to satisfy the majority of buyers.
