The CT5-V Blackwing is the successor to the already impressive CTS-V super-sedan.Fans of American Muscle rejoice! For the time being, Cadillac has revealed their LAST gas-powered high-performance V-series cars, which will be produced for the 2022 model year. The most notable, as well as the most updated CT5-V Blackwing model, is a super-sedan that will make you want to start a family just to have a reason to buy this four-door monster. When saying the name, a mouthful is required.

How much will the Cadillac CT5-v Blackwing cost?

The CT5-V Blackwing is the successor to the already formidable CTS-V super-sedan, which is powered by the same supercharged 6.2L LT4 engine found in the outgoing Corvette Z06 and Camaro ZL1 models. While each of those vehicles was capable of producing a hefty 650hp and 650tq, the new CT5-V Blackwing outperforms them all in terms of power, comfort, and the size of the mouthful required when saying the name.

Based on the information so far, this tire-shredding family hauler appears to be the ideal send-off for Cadillac's fuel and tarmac devouring "V" division.

The CT5-V Blackwing Is Cadillac's Most Powerful Model Yet

Yes, you read that correctly. The transmission in the image above is unmistakably a manual transmission, which is standard on the CT5-V Blackwing. It also has automatic rev-matching and a no-lift shifter. The LT4 V8 used in the previous CTS-V has been upgraded to 668hp and 659tq thanks to increased airflow from a new throttle body, exhaust system, and 1.7L Eaton supercharger, making it the most powerful Cadillac ever built and a performance sedan that will not be soon forgotten.

Unlike most other vehicles in the segment, Cadillac chose to keep the CT5-V Blackwing rear-drive only, relying on General Motors' Alpha 2 platform, which many enthusiasts will undoubtedly appreciate. MagneRide dampers are standard, and the Brembo brakes used are the largest ever used on a Cadillac, with front rotors measuring 15.7 inches and rears measuring 14.7 inches.

Carbon-ceramic rotors are available for the first time on a Cadillac, as are lightweight Magnesium wheels at some point, but Cadillac has not specified when they will be available. The tyres are a set of Blackwing-specific Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss that measure 275/35ZR19 in front and 305/30ZR19 in back.

The CT5-V Blackwing, as expected, receives a functional facelift over the previous CTS-V. Wider fenders help to conceal the massive staggered wheel setup, which measures 19x10 inches in front and 19x11 inches in back, while also contributing to the aggressive hunkered-down look

The front end of the vehicle has been visibly emphasised in terms of cooling, with functional vents to cool the brakes and a vast, porous mesh grille to help keep the monstrous engine running happily, which was previously a significant issue in early C7 Corvette Z06s using the same powerplant.

A carbon fibre track package can be added to improve aerodynamics and complement the carbon-backed seats, which are heated, cooled, and massaging. Please, yes!

How much will the Cadillac CT5-v Blackwing cost?

Cadillac has always seemed to place its cars in the middle of their competitors' "classes," and the CT5-V Blackwing is no exception. Pricing starts at $84,990, which puts it roughly in the middle of BMW's M3 and M5 sedans, as well as Mercedes' C63 S and E63 S, but fully loaded, it easily exceeds $100,000.
