As far as sports sedans go, the 2022 Cadillac CT5 doesn't have the sharpest handling or the most lavish interior, but its stylish exterior and eager optional powertrains keep it ahead of the competition with rivals like the BMW 3-series, Mercedes-Benz C-class, and Genesis G70. The base engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder, but the optional twin-turbo V-6 engine ups the ante. Consider the V-series trim, which is the sharpest CT5 this side of the high-performance Blackwing (reviewed separately).
The CT5's cabin is wide and well-equipped, but those expecting high-end materials and a luxury-level ambiance may be disappointed. If you're looking for the most up-to-date infotainment and driver-assistance features, the CT5 has them, including Cadillac's impressive Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving feature.
2022 Cadillac CT5 Price
Cadillac CT5 trim levels include Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, V-Series, and V-Series Blackwing. A CT5 Luxury starts around $38,000 and goes up to $84,990 for a CT5-V Blackwing with options, which can top $100,000. Depending on your preferences, a luxury-oriented CT5 will cost in the mid-$40,000s, while a sportier CT5-V will cost in the mid-$50,000s.
Synthetic leather upholstery, power front seats, a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 18-inch alloy wheels are all standard on the base CT5.
