The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is predicted to have a reliability rating of 76 out of 100. A J.D. Power predicted reliability score of 91-100 is considered the best, 81-90 is considered great, 70-80 is considered average, and 0-69 is considered fair and below average.

2022 Cadillac XT6

While the Cadillac XT6 has a generally smooth ride, larger bumps can be unsettling and cause passengers to jostle. A few reviewers also mention torque steer, which occurs when the steering wheel jerks around under hard acceleration. The handling is composed, with good cornering ability, but rivals are more relaxing and easy to drive. The Sport trim adds enhancements such as a sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling, though calling this SUV athletic would be a stretch.

2022 Cadillac XT6 Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

According to the EPA, the 2022 XT6 with the standard turbo-four will achieve up to 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. Models with the V-6 engine can achieve up to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel-drive XT6 we drove on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route as part of our extensive testing yielded a less rosy 22 mpg. For comparison, the Mercedes-Benz GLE450 we tested on that route received a score of 23.
