The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport is one of the greatest compact crossovers for combining city living with weekend activities in the great outdoors. The smaller Sport is designed to look like a miniature version of the full-size Ford Bronco, which is itself a retro take on legendary Broncos. Inside, its truck-like form pays off with plenty of headroom and cargo capacity. While the interior is marred by some unappealing materials and the back seat isn't particularly spacious, the inclusion of essential amenities such as secret storage compartments and a slide-out workbench are noteworthy.
All-wheel drive is standard, but the powerful turbo-four engine is only available in the Badlands model, which is a legitimate off-road competitor to the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. The regular three-cylinder engine is not only more powerful, but it is also more fuel efficient. Although the big-brother Bronco has more capabilities, the 2022 Bronco Sport is more than a gimmick.

The Bronco Sport has a starting MSRP of $27,265, making it one of the most expensive models in the class. The Bronco Sport Badlands, the top of the line model, starts at $33,935. That's not bad for a compact crossover's top-trim price.
Despite being the most expensive model, the Badlands is also the most capable off-road. The Badlands includes a raised suspension and modified dampers for handling difficult terrain, as well as a 245-hp turbo-four engine—the more powerful of the two available powerplants—and a strengthened all-wheel-drive system.
