The Ford Explorer ST (MSRP: $47,245) is the high-performance model. It's the first trim to feature the V6 engine, as well as a sport-tuned suspension and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. It's worth noting that the ST foregoes many of the Limited and ST-upgrades, Line's such as heated second-row seats, a hands-free liftgate, wireless device charging, and the 12-speaker stereo.

The 401A Equipment Group, which includes the ST High package and re-adds the Co-Pilot360+ package, costs $4,995. The latter includes many of the features gained in earlier trims, such as front parking sensors, ventilated seats, and a 12-speaker stereo, as well as reverse automatic emergency braking and park assist.
The Premium Technology package costs $1,295 and includes multicontour massaging front seats, a 10.1-inch touch screen, and a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo. The $600 ST High-Performance package includes high-performance brakes and red brake callipers ($1,595 without the 401A package).
