The Cadillac XT4 will appeal to buyers who appreciate a sharp-edged design, a large cabin, and a conventionally upright, SUV-like driving posture in a small-luxury SUV market with plenty of options. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine and front- or all-wheel drive are standard on all versions.
The cabin offers a contemporary design and many of basic and optional technology and infotainment capabilities, but overall refinement falls short of the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes-Benz GLA-class. If you look past the XT4's low-cost inside materials, you'll find it to be a functional and elegant option in this popular class.
2021 Cadillac XT4 Price
The basic price of the Cadillac XT4 is $36,790, with all-wheel drive adding $2500 to every model. The Premium Luxury and Sport variants are nearly identical in price, but we recommend the XT4 Sport because the former does not live up to its name and the latter is much better to drive. It features distinctive interior elements, unique wheel designs, and blacked-out exterior trim. The Sport model also comes with an active suspension system with variable dampers and more supportive front seats.
We'd add the Comfort and Convenience option (leather interior, vented and massaging front seats, etc.) and the Active Sport suspension (adaptive dampers) to avoid the Sport Dynamics package's ride-quality-degrading 20-inch wheels.
